Hi! I am Alice Goidea, an artist based in Bucharest, Romania and I use the alias algo7. 

I am a self-taught artist I have a degree in pharmacy; however my career in this field didn’t last long and I decided to follow my creative calling. I then studied photography, make-up and graphic design while practicing painting. 

I define my style as romantic and dreamy, in my art you can find a lot of meticulous patterns and decorative details. 

I was raised by my grandparents in a home full of light, art and nature. I remember all the details that inspired my work, like hand made pillows decorated with crocheted flowers and silk borders, vintage tableware or clothes made with great attention to details.

I work predominantly with traditional mediums with gouache, ink, pastel charcoal, oil pastels and colored pencils and I love to experiment with different techniques and styles including digital art.

I develop my work in response to my identity, I am a spiritual person and I care about details and I am thoughtful with what I surround myself and the atmosphere it creates. I explore the idea of a pastel aesthetic and celebrate my love for nature, so patterns and botanical elements are at the center of my art.

The flowers that I paint are unique captures at their moment, they are not in bloom even for one summer and I had the opportunity to look at them and reproduce them, through my art I like to remind people to enjoy these sensitive and precious moments that will never come back, that flower, that person, that moment…”
